Collins Plumbing has been a major player in the building of San Diego and keeping it on the cutting edge of technology. In 2007 CPI adopted an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), allowing employees who have dedicated their working careers to CPI, to participate in ownership of the company.

Collins Plumbing Inc. was named the top subcontractor for work on the Quechan Casino and Resort. The project included a 166-room hotel, casino floor, restaurants, cafes, pubs, concert venue, and pool with a “lazy river” and on site wastewater treatment plants. After 1 million cubic yards of dirt had been moved, the site could be leveled. In spite of this delay the project was completed 149 days early and $250,000 under budget.
